My team honed our design, organization, and technical communication skills by designing 70+ individual mechanical components, establishing matings between parts and subassemblies, and creating an explosive animation in SolidWorks shown in video below.

We precisely measured and determined the proper tolerance for all components including the gearbox, legs, rotating arms, and spring energy storage mechanism. We created a final explosive animation displaying each component in the toy. Explosive animations are fantastic ways to present designs and expands an audience's understanding of a product.
